Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

We believe there is One true & living God, who created and sustains all things, eternally existing in the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Ephesians 1; 1 Timothy 4:10; 1 John 5:7)
We believe Jesus is the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament Scriptures, was conceived by the Holy Spirit within a virgin. Was God in the flesh (Emmanuel), was raised and lived typically according to His culture and was tempted in every way, yet lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to God. He was crucified, resurrected and overcame death, later ascended to heaven to the Father, and will return to the earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:20-23; Hebrews 4:15; Philippians 2:8; Galatians 3:13; 4:4; Luke 24:6-7; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 20; Acts 1:11; 2:33; Titus 2:13; Revelation 17:14)
We believe the Bible, through the original manuscripts, is the infallible inspired Word of God. We believe the Bible is complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and is the supreme and final authority in all matters pertaining to life and godliness. (Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3)
We believe that God created man (male and female) in the image of God. We believe that all mankind, as a result of the fall, are all sinners, therefore separated from God and spiritually dead, and in need of salvation. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2: 15-17; Romans 3:23).
We believe that salvation is only through grace (God's gift) through faith in Jesus. We believe that if we trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe that salvation results in righteous living and good works and we are commanded and we are given the power to obey Jesus' commandments and to teach others to do the same. However, when we do sin, we are to confess and repent of our sin that Jesus will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:15; 15:8; Romans 12:9; Galatians 5:16; James 2:14-18; 4:7-8; 1 Peter 1:15; 1 John 1:9; 2:1)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost. We believe in the eternal existence of all believers in a literal heaven and unbelievers in a literal hell. We believe in the imminent, literal, visible second coming of Jesus Christ and that this calls us to holiness and preparedness for His coming. (Matthew 12:36; Romans 14:10; Matthew 25:46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:4; 11-18)
